John McSherry, Executive Director
John McSherry came on board with the Port full-time in July 2001 after working closely with the Port during his two-year tenure with Skamania County Economic Development Council. John is responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of Port business, as well as the implementation of all policies and procedures as delegated by the Port of Skamania County Commissioners. He ensures that the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the Port are foremost in the day-to-day operation of the Port.

John has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and 25 years experience in marketing and economic development in both the public and private sectors.

Karl Wilkie, Facilities Specialist
Karl Wilkie has an extensive background as a maintenance and landscape technician. He has been working for the Port since May 2001. Karl's abilities and dedication are evidenced in the outstanding condition of the Port properties parks and grounds.

A 30-year resident of the area, Karl attended high school in Albany, New York and the Art Institute in San Miguel, Mexico. Prior to joining the Port, he worked 19 years for the USDA Forest Service at the Wind River Nursery and as a tradesman in construction and remodeling. He achieved a Diploma in Gardening and Landscaping, with high honors, from the Statford Career Institute (Washington DC) in November 2006. He is experienced in rockwork, plumbing, carpentry and landscaping.

Doug Bill, Facilities Specialist
Doug joined the Port in May 2011. He has over 20 years of experience in the residential and commercial construction industry. Doug has 15 years of experience as a firefighter and has studied environmental law and forestry at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. Doug grew up in Richmond, Illinois. He enjoys flying in his spare time and has his private pilot SEL certification.

Monica Masco, Port Auditor
Monica Masco, a Skamania County native, earned her accounting degree at Central Washington University and has worked for 25 years as a controller, auditor, bookkeeper, and tax preparer. After living in Seattle and San Francisco for 6 years, Monica returned to Skamania County in 1993 and founded Arrowhead Accounting, a firm that provides accounting and tax services to the community.

Julie Mayfield, Executive Assistant
Julie joined the Port staff in March 2007, as an Administrative Assistant, bringing over 20 years experience with her. She also has a background in Technical Editing, from her experience in the environmental engineering industry. Julie earned her bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts with a German Minor in 1985 from Ambassador College, Pasadena, California. She grew up in Washington and Alaska before heading south for warmer climates for 15 years, and returned to the Northwest in 1996.

Randy Payne, Finance Manager
Randy grew up locally in Washougal, Washington and earned his accounting degree from Portland State University. Randy has over 16 years of accounting experience in the intermodal transportation industry. He enjoys fishing, hiking, and golfing in his free time.

Kenneth B. Woodrich, Port Attorney
Kenneth B. Woodrich, of Woodrich and Archer in Stevenson, has served as Port Attorney for 11 years. Ken became a licensed attorney in Oregon in 1983 and since 1990 has been licensed to practice in Washington. Ken’s practice emphasizes municipal law and he has a keen interest in the Port’s development. As legal advisor he counsels the Port through contract negotiations, property acquisitions and development, lease matters, personnel issues and all aspects of Port law.

Ken is a University of Oregon graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Biology (1978) and a Juris Doctor (1983). In addition to his law practice, Ken is involved in the community including serving as president of the Skamania County Chamber of Commerce in 2001.
